One of its kind Yoga College in China, named as the ‘India-China Yoga College’, has initiated the registration/ enrollment process for its master’s degree course on October 10, 2017. Interested applicants can enroll for this three-year course. What is interesting about the course is that during the entire duration of the programme, the participants will get an opportunity to pursue the first two years of the course in Kunming (Capital of Yunnan Province – China) and the final year of the course in India.

On the successful completion of the course, the candidates will be awarded combined degrees or diplomas from Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (Bangalore) and Yunnan Minzu University (China).

With a motive to help students eliminate language barriers during the course in India, the Bangalore-based college will offer lessons on Indian culture in Sanskrit as well as Hindi.
India-China Yoga College was jointly set up by Indian Council for Cultural Relations and Yunnan Minzu University in the year 2015. It was one of the ambitious projects of our honourable Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi. Today, Yoga has become very popular in China with millions of people practicing it across the country.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) is in plans to give preference to candidates who have the knowledge of yoga or have practiced yoga and are seeking admission in physiotherapy courses offered by universities and colleges across the country. UGC will take up the matter in the next meeting. If the proposal gets a nod, it will be implemented from the next year (2018).
