The International Institute Of Hotel Management (IIHM) is about to open a new Tourism University in West Bengal . It is India’s first Tourism University. The University will be named IIHM University and will fall under the West Bengal Private University Act.
A total investment of Rs. 150 crores has been planned by the International Institute Of Hotel Management for the making of the new IIHM. Rs 70 crores of the total amount has already been used for the infrastructure and state-of-art facilities situated in Salt Lake Electronic Complex.
Creating one of the best Tourism University of the world, with a vast number of employment opportunities for the students in West Bengal, is the aim and vision of the main promoter and CEO of IIHM Group , Dr. Suborno Bose.

The campuses of IIHM are at the fastest growing cities of India i.e. Kolkata , Bangalore , Delhi , Pune , Ahmedabad , Jaipur and Hyderabad. It also has a campus in Bangkok. IAM IHM, its sister concern has its campuses at Goa, Kolkata and Guwahati.
Approx 6500 full-time students are associated with IIHM Group in India and Thailand . The Tourism University will mainly focus on subject areas like Tourism Development, Eco-Tourism, Hospitality and Tourism, Tourism in Digital World and Sustainable Tourism.

A Culinary Olympiad is also planned by IIHM Group for the Young Chefs around the world. There will be 50 nations participating in the competition and India will the host nation for this Culinary Olympiad. Sanjeev Kapoor, world-renowned chef and Padma Shri awardee said that he feels blessed to be a part of this Culinary Olympiad for Young Chefs of the world.
