Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur has developed an 'Innovation Gallery' to showcase the innovative projects of engineering students built during their final year of degree programmes.
The college is known to organise annual national project events every year like Pratibimb and it's students won many national awards for the projects. The idea of developing an Innovation Gallery is to create a facility for the students to showcase their talent. This is a great platform for students provided by the college.
The Innovation Gallery was inaugurated by Sagar Meghe, Dr U P Waghe and college faculty. A total of 42 innovative projects from all branches of engineering were displayed out of which five project related patents have been filed. Chairman of Innovation Gallery, Prof M S Pawar Dr Purva Mange, Principal, SDM College of Architecture Nagpur, co-ordinators of departments Dr. S S Khedkar, Prof. J M Raut, A D Belsare, Prof. S B Ardhapurkar, P P Palsodkar, Dr. S P Adhau, Nisha Wankhede, Prof Manish Hadap worked hard for the developing Innovation Gallery. Secretary of NYSS, Sagar Meghe inaugurating Innovation Gallery at YCCE.
This idea was fully supported by a secretary of NYSS, Sagar Meghe as this facility will provide a platform to the students to convert their innovative and novel ideas into a working model and exhibit at a gallery.
Also, the students working on their current projects will get inspiration from the gallery.
It will further help the students of YCCE to built, exhibit and present their work in front of the people permanently which in turn will elevate the presentation and technical skills needed by the industry to face the cut-throat competition in the current scenario.
