Instructions to be followed after IIT JAM First Admission List 2023IIT JAM first admission list 2023 will be released today by the IIT Guwahati on the official website- jam.iitg.ac.in . To check and download the IIT JAM first admission list, the candidates should enter their login credentials, enrolment ID, and password. The authority will release the admission list based on the choices filled by the candidates and also on the merit list. The candidates, who have ranked high, will get admission to the top-listed colleges. To reserve the seats as per the released admission list, the candidates should pay the seat reservation fees and need to claim the admission before the last date.
Instructions to Follow after IIT JAM First Admission List 2023
The candidates, who will be allotted seats, should choose any of the three options-
- Accept and Freeze
- Accept with Upgrade
- Reject and Quit
If the candidates will be satisfied with the college allocation, then they should choose “ Accept and Freeze ” option. In such a situation, the candidates will not be allowed to upgrade the allocation for getting better preferences in the consequent rounds.
If the candidates are not satisfied with the college allocation, then they can choose “ Accept with Upgrade ” option. If the candidates will choose this option, then they need to accept the offered seat, however, can wait for upgradation to get better preferences in the next rounds.
Lastly, if the candidates will not like to take part in the admission process, then they can select the “ Reject and Quit ” option. Hence, the candidates cannot take part in the further rounds of the admission process. After selecting this option, the candidates will receive a One time password (OTP) on the registered mobile number. Post that the candidates should enter the OTP for confirming the decision.
