International Institute of Sports Management (IISM) Invites Applications for SMAT 2018

IISM, which is popularly known as International Institute of Sports Management is inviting applications for SMAT 2018 (Sports Management Admission Test). SMAT is conducted for the admission to UG and PG courses offered by IISM. All the details about SMAT are elaborated below.

Courses Offered by IISM: -

• Bachelor of Sports Management (BSM)
• Master of Sports Management (MSM)
• PGP in Sports and Wellness Management (PGPS & WM)

SMAT Eligibility Criteria: -

• For General category candidates, 50% marks in HSC is mandatory for the admission to BSM course, whereas 45% marks are enough for reserved category candidates.
• For the admission to MSM and PGPS & WM courses, general category candidates must have 50% marks in Bachelor’s degree. For reserved category, 45% is the minimum qualifying mark.
• Candidates with a valid MAH-CET score are exempted from appearing to SMAT for the admission to MSM and PGPS & WM courses.

SMAT 2018 Application Process: -

• The application form for SMAT can be submitted through the official website of IISM.
• Firstly, complete the ‘Self Registration’ process to create login credentials.
• Secondly, verify your e-mail. A verification link will be sent to your e-mail after the Self-Registration.
• Fill the online application form for SMAT now.
• Upload the scanned images of relevant documents after form filling.
• Finally, pay the SMAT application fee.

SMAT Selection Process: -

• For BSM course, the preliminary shortlisting of candidates will be based on SMAT score.
• All the shortlisted candidates will have to submit an essay on the given topic. The pointers will be provided to the candidates to write the essay.
• Based on SMAT results and essay, the candidates will be shortlisted for the personal interview.
• The final admission for BSM course will be made by taking the overall performance of candidates in all the stages of selection process.
• For MSM and PGPS & WM courses, the primary shortlisting of candidates will be based on their score in SMAT or MAH-CET.
• The shortlisted candidates will have to submit SOP (Statement of Purpose).
• Finally, candidates shortlisted based on SOP and SMAT/ MAH-CET score will be called for the personal interview.
• The final selection will be confirmed after the personal interview.
