A 2-day international conference on climate science will be organised by the Interdisciplinary Climate Research Centre (ICRC), Cotton College, Guwahati on March 7 and 8, 2016. This will be the 1st international conference on Climate Science in the college.
The conference will be based on the theme, ‘ Frontiers of Climate Information and Services for Sustainable Development Planning in North-East India.'
Objective:
The event is aimed at discussing the interconnectedness between climate science, science and policy in order to improve co-generation, quality, access and dissemination of climate information services necessary to improve climate-resilient development planning and the achievement of Sustainable development goals (SDGs) in North-East India.
Goal:
The goal of this conference is to identify and elaborate the scientific questions and associated research agendas that are scientifically challenging and of high social relevance involving regional climate.
Eligibility:
Scientists, faculty, research scholars, and students of recognised universities, institutes, organizations engaged in research on climate science related topics.
