IP University to Train Teachers in e-learning

IP University is all set to commence an online training programme for teachers. The programme will start on 10th May 2020 and will extend until 16th May 2020. The training is designed to enhance the online educational skills of the faculty.

IP University imparts e-training

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University or the IP University, Delhi has planned to conduct a week-long e-learning programme for teachers. The training is being held to enhance the skills of the teachers for imparting online education to the students. The week-long training, also known as the Faculty Development Programme (FDP), will commence from 10th May 2020 and will stretch until 16th May 2020. The online training programme tailored for teachers will focus on ‘Design and Development of MOOCs and e-learning technologies'.

Through the e-training programme of IP University, the challenges that teachers encounter while adopting online teaching will also be touched. The week-long e-training programme scheduled by the IP University will help the teachers in tackling the online education problems during the lockdown period.

Dhananjay Joshi, the professor of the University School of Education, clarifies the objective of FDP. He says that programme is being hosted in order to clear the concepts and create awareness about MOOCs and vivid e-learning technologies. It will also help in training the participants to design, develop and deliver quality programmes and courses in their respective domains. Professor Joshi added to the reports by saying that the issues such as the introduction of a plethora of online courses through SWAYAM will be touched in the e-training programme.

With the wild spread of the coronavirus pandemic and to arrest its transmission, IP University has suspended the campus learning and is promoting e-learning with great gusto. Multiple exams have been cancelled or have been postponed due to the spread of the coronavirus all across the nation.
