ITI Pune has emerged as the first Industrial Training Institute in Maharashtra to bag company partnerships worth Rs. 1 crore. The partnerships will enable the students to gain exposure in latest electronics and car technology. Earlier, ITI Pune had signed MoUs with Maruti Suzuki and Samsung India. The two companies established their laboratories on ITI Pune campus to guide students pursuing motor mechanics, electrical, mechanics and electronics courses.
The Principal of ITI Anudh, Mr. Prakash Saigaonkar revealed that the industry partnership would give a boost to the institute’s training methods and help students acquire a better understanding of the industry. With the latest tie-up, both the companies will play a dominant role in keeping the students updated with the latest technology, products and appliances. The training imparted by Maruti and Samsung will add value to the skills of students and enable them to fetch better chances of employability, he highlighted.

Maruti Suzuki has established a service centre worth Rs. 60 lakh in ITI Pune. At this centre, ITI Pune students will get hands-on training in various aspects of car repair and servicing. The company will also impart training to the staff who will later train students. This year, close to 125 students enrolled in Motor Mechanic course at ITI Pune.
Samsung India will also help students learn repairing and maintenance of its home appliances and electronics.

As per the MoU, Samsung and Suzuki will operate the labs for the first three years. After the end of the agreement period, the companies will hand over the same to the institute.
