Jamia Hamdard University has launched MBA course in Insurance. The online application process for the same has now begun. It is a two-year programme, the total intake of which is 40. MBA in Insurance programme will lay emphasis on academic and field knowledge about insurance. The online application form for MBA in Insurance is available on the official website now.
According to the official notification, the candidates who have appeared for CAT and MAT examinations can apply for the MBA in Insurance programme at Jamia Hamdard University. The varsity does not conduct a separate entrance examination for the admission to MBA in Insurance course. The applicants will have to appear for the group discussion and personal interview rounds. The varsity will prepare a merit list based on the total score of the candidates, i.e., previous academic background, CAT & MAT score, performance in group discussion and personal interview.

The MBA in Insurance programme at Jamia Hamdard University is divided into four semesters. The first two semesters will focus on management related topics while the last two semesters will lay emphasis on insurance related topics. The course will also cover scientific and systematic methods with quality research support in the insurance sector. Through this course, students will get a clear understanding on various topics related to insurance including agriculture insurance, life and non-life insurance, marine insurance and health insurance.

With an objective to bring subject experts to teach students, the varsity has tied up with IRDAI or Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India. The experts will enlighten the students on the contemporary and future needs of the insurance industry.
Interested candidates can submit the online application forms on or before August 20, 2017.
