Jamia Milia Islamia , one of the prominent and leading institutions in our country will soon be offering a Masters in Design. According to the latest reports, the Vice-chancellor of the University, Najma Akhtar has given a green signal for a new course i.e, Masters in Design. It has been introduced in the curriculum for the upcoming session. The decision was taken in the virtual orientation ceremony which also marked the presence of Pro-Vice-Chancellor Registrar Dr. Nazim Husain Jafri and Prof. Tasneem Fatma.
The discussion held in the Orientation Ceremony at Jamia Milia primarily focused on the pointers mentioned below.
The vice-chancellor said that the Department of Design will not only impart the best education and learning but will attract the best of talents of our country.
There was also a discussion to offer an MDes course for aspirants and to introduce more graduate and research programs for the upcoming session to increase career prospects for students.
Vice-Chancellor said that the main priority of the department is towards Communication Design, Interaction Design, and Product Design.
The main agenda of the department of introducing the new course is to develop and enhance the critical thinking and practice in the field of design among the students and build future managers and entrepreneurs with a strong sense of creativity and innovation among them.
