Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister, Prakash Javadekar mooted the notion of imparting quality education to students and adopt innovative means to build up the new generation of this culturally rich nation. The minister was addressing at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS)' foundation day celebrations in New Delhi where a total of 104 teachers and non-teaching staff from all over India were awarded.

Lauding the role of the Sangathan in providing quality education, Javadekar said that that Sangathan is now a brand itself in quality education. He congratulated the award-winning teachers as well as non-teaching staff of KVS for their role and urged them to usher in the responsible task of future building of students. These students come to school for fulfilling a long cherished dream of getting quality education.
The minister also announced that a National Conference would be convened in March 2017 to find out the means to implement innovative practices, where exponents and experts of education would be invited to share their enriched experiences and ideas as to improve the quality of education.

The minister also referred to one of his experiences of such a conference where around 1000 teachers were invited and they were told to generate their ideas on reform in education without any investments. More than 500 ideas were generated there itself, the minister revealed. He also urged the concerned authorities to consider positively the innovative ideas generated by these teachers so as to improve the quality of education.
Upendra Kushwaha, Minister of State, HRD Ministry also spoke on the occasion and said that the role of teachers is to produce personalities like Mahatma Gandhi and Vivekananda and quality human beings.
