The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has clearly indicated that the applicants of JEE Main 2017 can edit the uploaded image now. The announcement was made on December 10, 2016. The candidates who have filled the online application and paid the examination fee can edit the uploaded image. Similarly, the candidates can also edit the uploaded signature. The candidates have to visit the official website and login with their application number and password to make changes.

This year, the candidates need not upload the scanned thumb impression while filling the application form. Until last year, i.e., 2015-16, the candidates were required to upload the scanned thumb impression along with the application form.
The candidates who are going to make changes or upload a new photograph and signature must note that the size of the scanned photograph and signature must be between 4KB to 100KB. The photograph can be either coloured, or black & white. It should also include the name of the candidate and date when the photograph was taken.

It is advisable for the candidates to upload a clear photograph without wearing spectacles. The candidates also must keep 6-8 photos reserved that may be used during the time of examination, seat allocation process and admission.
The online registrations for JEE Main 2017 examination commenced on December 1, 2016. The candidates can apply for the exam on or before January 2, 2017.
