Nashik’s Vrunda Rathi emerged as the topper amongst girls in the JEE Main 2017 exam. The 17-year-old aspires to study at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore . The announcement of the JEE Main 2017 result on April 27 turned out to be the happiest moment of Vrunda’s life as she secured All India Rank 71.
Although most of the engineering aspirants want to clear JEE Main to get into IITs, Vrunda has planned something different for herself. She aspires to foray into the research field and therefore is targeting IISc Bangalore.
Talking about her aim, Vrunda said that she is not sure which course she want to pick but research is her ultimate goal.
She was enrolled at the IITians Pace Academy in order to prepare for the exam. Vrunda a total of 321 marks in JEE Mains 2017 – 110 in mathematics, 105 in physics and 106 in chemistry.

Talking about her preparation, Vrunda said that she use to mix studies with music. She added that she started preparing for the exam in class 11. She said that she cannot study for long hours, therefore, she used to take necessary breaks to play flute in between.
After her class 12 board exams, her entire focus shifted to the JEE Main exam. She used to devote 6 hours to studies each day.
Although most of the students have to check their results on the official exam website, Vrunda got a call from the Chairperson of CBSE, RK Chaturvedi, congratulating her on splendid performance and score.

After receiving the call, Vrunda crosschecked her result on the official website before starting her celebrations. Ecstatic with her performance, she now plans to put in all the effort to get a good score in JEE Advanced .
