NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency has rescheduled the JEE Main 2022 exams for phase 1 and phase 2 exams. The decision was taken on the basis of numerous requests received by NTA for JEE exam postponement. As per the new dates, JEE Main phase 1 will be held from June 20 to June 29, 2022; Whereas the JEE Main exam for phase 2 will be conducted from July 21 to July 30, 2022. On the other hand, due to the exam postponement, the JEE Main registration for phase 2 is also delayed.
Benefits of exam rescheduling
The prime objective of the Twitter campaigns regarding the JEE exam postponement was insufficient gap between the JEE Main 2022 exam sessions. After rescheduling of exam dates, the candidates will get ample time for JEE Main preparation and thus, candidates can take the following benefits-
- Builds up confidence: The candidates now have two to three additional months for preparing phase 1 and phase 2 exams respectively. Candidates who were not yet confident about their preparation,now have extra time for boosting up their preparatory skills and accuracy of solving questions
- Increase in revision duration: The candidates should break the entire syllabus into subject wise sections. List out the important topics from every chapter and then revise it thoroughly.
- Self assessment: Exam postponement gives an opportunity to the candidates for self-assessment. Candidates can also focus on the areas of improvement and revise their study plan accordingly if required. By this way, both accuracy and performance will be effective
- Practice mock test papers: Candidates should try solving at least two mock tests on weekly basis to access their level of preparation and make changes in their study plan accordingly. Experts and previous year toppers also give credit to mock tests for their success
- Solve previous years papers: In the additional time, candidates can try solving more and more previous years’ JEE question papers. Solving questions will help them get insights on the overall paper pattern and the type of questions asked.
