NEW DELHI: With mounting pressure from the students and their parents regarding rescheduling of the JEE Main 2022 (Phase 1) exam, NTA has decided to push the exam dates by a week. According to the latest schedule released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the first phase of the JEE Main 2022 exam will now be conducted from 21st April. Earlier, the JEE Main (phase 1) 2022 examination was scheduled to happen on April 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, 2022. Except for the change in the exam schedule for the first phase, NTA is going ahead with the rest of the changes introduced. NTA will not conduct this year’s JEE main examination in more than two shifts. The JEE Main online application correction process will also not take place this year.

Earlier, the JEE Main 2022 (phase 1) aspiring candidates and their parents had requested the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the NTA officials to either consider rescheduling the exam or provide more attempts because the JEE schedule was clashing with other state board exam date sheets. The registration process for the first phase of this year’s JEE main exam is currently underway and will conclude on 31 March.
