As per the official data, for JEE Session 1 2024, the number of registrations have increased from 2023, setting a new record for the highest number of registrations for the examination ever. In 2023,
8.6 lakh
candidates had registered for JEE Main Session 1, while in 2024, an additional
3.7 lakh
registrations have been recorded. The total of candidates registered for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 stands at
12.3 lakhs
from all over India. Among these registrations, the highest number has been recorded in Maharashtra i.e.,
1.6 lakhs
, followed by Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Compared to the previous year, this year,

more registration forms have been received from the female category. For the third-gender categories, the number has exceeded all the previous years.
