Important notable tips before and during the exam are enlisted below:

  • Revise all the formulas, constant values, important reactions, important theory points, etc. from your notes. Don’t write them down separately now. Any deviations from what you are familiar with might cause confusion, thus leading you to forget it.

  • Go through previous papers, not as a mock test but as a quick go-through to mentally rehearse the solution. This is especially true for theory questions as it will give you an idea as to how NTA asks the theory questions.

  • Focus more on the important topics instead of wasting time on those topics which hold little to no weightage.

  • During the exam, don’t spend more than two minutes on any question you can’t directly figure out the solutions to. Also, leave the questions with heavy calculations for the last.

  • Try the trial and error method. There are some questions which are solved better by inputting option values in the question instead of solving the question itself. Prefer the other way and save time.

  • Refer to the options before solving the questions. For example, if a question requires you to use the value of gravitational acceleration and the option choices are not in lose ranges (varying in decimals only), better use its value as 10 instead of 9.81 for ease of calculation.

  • Retain a positive mindset. It is as important as other preparation practices.
