JEE MAIN 2023: If prepared properly, Mathematics can be one of the scoring subjects in JEE Main January 2023 exam. The weightage for it is mainly concentrated on only half of the syllabus, some of which are very interconnected topics. Out of 25 questions, 21 questions are expected to come from 8 topics alone which amounts to 84 marks. Hence, in these few days left for the exam, it is advised to focus on these topics. However, if you find some of these topics to be difficult or have not prepared for them well enough until now, it is suggested you leave such topics and start them anew for the April session.

JEE Main January 2023: Tips for Mathematics
Check here the important tips to score well in JEE Main maths paper in these last days before the exam:
- Revision must be focused heavily on formulas. There are only a few questions that come from the theory part and these are usually easy questions and can be answered without excessive theory revisions.
- Target new questions. Calculation in maths is the easy part if one figures out how to proceed with the questions. Exposure to new questions can help you become better at it.
- Instead of referring to new books now, it is advised to use previous years’ papers as to get these new questions. It directly introduces to the difficulty level of the paper, the types of questions that may appear, etc., thus greatly benefitting your revision.
- Download here: JEE Main 2022 and 2021 Question Paper PDF (Note: 2022 question papers are available with detailed solutions).
- If you are unable to solve some of the questions from your prepared topics, quickly go through the solution and revise the steps so that you will be able to solve a similar question during the exam.
- Use shortcuts. Only the answers matter, not the procedure. For example, L-Hopital rule can be used for limits instead of the lengthy calculation required for boards.
- Keep a positive mindset. It is as important as the rest of the preparation. In anxiety, you won’t be able to solve the questions you otherwise would.
