JEE Main Percentile 2024 Session 1: How is it calculated?
Here are the important details regarding the process of JEE Main percentile calculation process –- Firstly, NTA derives the raw scores of candidates across all shifts of JEE Mains. The raw score is of 300 marks
- Based on the highest marks scored in each shift and the lowest marks scored, NTA will derive an average percentile score
- Candidates scoring the highest marks in each shift will be awarded a 100 percentile and the second highest marks will have a 99.99 percentile. NTA adopts normalization process considering the Toughest Shift in JEE Main 2024 Session 1 and Easiest Shift in JEE Main 2024 Session 1
- NTA allocates percentile in decimal points
- The number of candidates scoring 99 percentile and above in JEE Main is usually more than 20,000
As the candidates will know their percentile score after the JEE Mains Session 1 result 2024, they can check the JEE Main expected rank 2024 to estimate the tentative admission chances. The ranks of 2024 will be released only after the conclusion of the Session 2 exam. The best percentile score among Sessions 1 and 2 shall be used to prepare the Common Rank List (CRL).
