The category-wise toppers list also includes the ST category. However, this year, NTA has only released the first topper only under the category-wise toppers and the same is mentioned here for the ST category. Jagannadham Mohith from Telangana has topped the ST category for JEE Main January Session 1 2024. Candidates scoring 98 or 99 percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 1 can pay the fee and appear for Session 2 as there is a possibility to score 100 percentile. The SC category candidates have a higher chance of securing admission in top NITs, IIITs and GFTIs if they score 94 and above percentile in JEE Mains. These percentile students can easily make it to the CSE course of premier institutes. Therefore, candidates are advised to appear for Session 2 to improve their percentile scores so that their admission chances are enhanced.
