In accordance with the JEE Main 2023 information bulletin, students are required to obtain an All India Rank to be eligible for admission to B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning courses offered by NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs participating in Central Seat Allocation Boards, provided they have scored a minimum of 75% in the Class 12 examination.
The JEE Main 2023 exam will be held on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31 by the National Testing Agency. Due to board practical exams in January and theory exams in February, students and teachers are jittery about the exam dates. There has been considerable dissatisfaction between the testing body and candidates. They have requested a postponement of the exam, among other things.

Here are some of the reasons why JEE Main 2023 aspirants are demanding postponement -
- Droppers only get 4 months
- CBSE practicals clashing in January.
- Bihar boards are from 1st February. There's not enough space between the exams.
- Many students didn't even practice for the mock test because the syllabus is incomplete.
- Dates were announced late and only 40 days time gap given
