Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS) Rohini celebrated XXII Convocation Ceremony in a grand manner at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi recently. On this occasion, the students who successfully completed their degree in BCA, BBA, MCA, PGDM-RM, PGDM-IB and PGDM received their diplomas and degrees. Various guests, parents, the members of Academic Advisory Council, Governing Body and faculty members attended the event.

The convocation ceremony kick started with a floral tribute to Late Sh. Jagan Nath Gupta. Dr. J.K. Goyal, Director of Jagan Institute of Management Studies presented the welcome address. He revealed that a total number of 235 students received PGDM-RM, PGDM-IB and PGDM diplomas. Among them, seven students have secured distinction and a total number of 169 students completed their course in the first division.
He further added that the JIMS has performed exceptionally well in terms of placements. This year, the average package bagged by the students is Rs. 4,00,000 per annum. During the placements, a total number of 37 companies took part to recruit the students apart from traditional companies. He explained that the students of BCA, MBA and BBA also gave excellent performance in academics. The entire students of the MCA batch secured either distinction or first division. Similarly, Mr. Mohit Jain emerged as the topper of BBA batch. Finally, Dr. Goyal congratulated the students and wished a bright future.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Institution, Mr. Manish Gupta gave some useful tips to the students for the advancement of career. He indicated that students should always remain focused and develop dedication towards the work. The students must always come up with innovative ideas, which lead to the growth of career. Management students need to focus on becoming entrepreneurs and assured full support from the institute.
Member of Governing Body, Mr. S.P. Marwah motivated the students to face the corporate life with confidence and fearlessness. Member of Academic Council, Mr. T.S Ahulwalia said that the students need to be innovative and self-employed. The students need to be self-motivating and committed in all aspects of life.
Later, the toppers of each programme were awarded Gold, Silver, Copper medals and mementoes. The rest of the students were conferred degrees and diplomas. The event was concluded with vote of thanks and National Anthem.
