O.P. Jindal Global University - JGU has established a research centre for corporate responsibility and sustainability on 22nd November 2018. The centre aims to deliver knowledge services to higher educational institutes, and industries across the country.
The establishment of JGU-Centre for Excellence in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (JGU-CECRAS) was announced at the three-day Northern Conclave for Building CSR Partnerships. The three-day conclave was organised in collaboration with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences . The conclave brought many NPOs, corporations, higher education institutes and government officials together to express their views on building CSR partnerships.

C. Raj Kumar, JGU, Vice-Chancellor said that the growth of CSR model in the country is not solely due to the corporate sector but is a result of building positive image and brand building.
According to him, the country needs to rework on the CSR framework to improve higher education. He also said that research plays an important role in improving the quality of higher education in India and encourages innovation across the country. The higher education institutes in India have been struggling to meet international standards. The government has introduced several initiatives to improve the quality of higher education, he added.

Gyaneshwar Singh, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs inaugurated the three-day Northern Conclave for Building CSR Partnerships. During his address. he emphasised that corporations should be more responsible towards society, and they should work towards bringing positive changes in the environment in which they operate.
