JNTU-H Delays M.Tech Semester Results, Students Nervous

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad has been delaying the results of M.Tech first year (second semester) examination. The exams were held in the month of August, and the varsity was supposed to declare the results within 45 to 60 days from the date of examination. However, it has been 80 days, and the students are eagerly waiting for the results. Around 32,000 students took the exam and the delay in results is making them apprehensive.

One of the students expressed that it would not be possible to apply for a project unless the results are out. Some of the students fear that the delay in results would extend their academic year. Phanindra Goud, an M.Tech student, mentioned that he was unable to take up project work due to the delay which has been causing him anxiety.

On the other hand, students who have backlogs feel that the delay might not allow them to appear for the VIVA project this year. Ali Mustafa, a student, explained that he has a backlog and he could appear for VIVA only if he clears the backlog. Thus the uncertainty over the declaration of results is making him nervous as he could lose an academic year.

The officials of JNTU-H stated that they need to get approval from the Vice Chancellor to declare results. The process of evaluating answer scripts has been completed, and the file was sent to the VC for approval. The officials assured that the results would be declared in a few days.

According to sources, the university has been facing a severe shortage of faculty because of which the evaluation process was delayed. It is not the first time that the university has delayed the results. There were several instances in the past where the varsity delayed B.Tech & MBA results too.
