Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada organized a national workshop on ‘Research Concepts and Incubating Ideas on IoT’ . The workshop was inaugurated by District Collector, Mr. Arun Kumar by lightening the lamp. On this occasion, he addressed the students on the theme of the workshop.

He said the lack of multidisciplinary approach and stress that the gap must be filled. He advised the faculty to generate innovative ideas among the students by motivating them.
Speaking on the theme he asserted that in India 60% of GDP is being generated from agriculture sector and it can achieve better production if farmers apply Internet of Things (IoT). He also stressed the importance of mobile technology which would do wonders.

Vice-chancellor of University Mr. VS Kumar said that the results of IoT are the introduction of biometric attendance and utilization of library resources. The incubation centre which is set up in the campus helps the students become entrepreneurs. The students must play an important role in helping farmers through IoT.
The workshop focuses on education the students and faculty on the use of IoT. It is a two-day national level workshop and resource persons from various varsities will train the students on the usage of IoT on the second day.
