Finally, JNTU, Kakinada has got acceptance from the National Architecture Board to conduct B.Arch examinations in the Andhra Pradesh. Previously, the examinations for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were being conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JANFAU), Hyderabad. The colleges which offer B.Arch courses were also under the affiliation of JNAFAU. From this year these colleges will come under the affiliation of JNTU, Kakinada.
The exams for the students who are pursuing second, third and final year B.Arch course will be conducted by JNTUK. The students will be given certificates after the completion of course by JNTUK.
The University has also started its operations in Narasaraopet, Guntur District. this year, the university is functioning in a temporary building of AM Reddy Engineering College. The Andhra Pradesh has granted funds for the establishment of the university which will go on floors from September.
