JNU Admissions 2022-23 to based on CUCET

JNU`s CUCET will be conducted by National Testing Agency from 2022-23. The Director of Admissions Jayant Tripathi of JNU conveyed that NTA takes over CUCET examination after the Academic Council Meeting.

JNU Admissions 2022-23 to based on CUCET

The officials of Jawaharlal Nehru University Delhi announced that from the next academic year 2022-23 National Testing Agency will be conducting CUCET ( Central Universities Common Entrance Test ). The decision of entrusting NTA to take over CUCET Examinations every year was taken by the Academic Council along with the Director of Admissions Jayant Tripathi of JNU. NTA start conducting CUCET for the academic year 2022-23 to admit students to various courses of UG offered by the university.

During the conference of the Academic Council of JNU, the majority of the members along with the Dean of Schools, Centre Chairpersons, and some of the external members of the academic council are of the opinion that CUCET provides equal opportunity for the eligible candidates to get into a different course. In order to reduce the burden of conducting various entrance exams of the University, the council has taken the decision to make NTA the sole responsible authority to conduct the exam.

The CUCET has been conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University every year until now. Delhi University already entrusted the responsibility to NTA conduct CUCET right from the academic year 2022-23. There is also a proposal that NTA should take over entrance exams from all the Central Universities.

The National Testing Agency has been rendering its helping hand and collaborating with JNU in conducting the entrance examination across the country, at various examination centers in CBT Mode (Computer Based Test) in order to admit the students in various courses of Jawaharlal Nehru University.
