Jorhat Engineering College invites applications from eligible candidates for admission into the two year Master of Engineering under the departments of Civil Engg. (Design of Civil Engg. Structures), Electrical Engg. (Instrumentation and Control Engg.) and Mechanical Engg (Production & Industrial Engg) at Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat-785007, for the session 2016-17.
Eligibility-
Bachelor degree (B.E/B.Tech/Amie) holders in respective engineering discipline from a university/ institute recognised by AICTE with a minimum of 55% marks for general and 50% marks for SC/ST candidates are eligible for admission.
The application can be downloaded from JEC website with effect from 25.05.2016. At the time of submission of the form of a fee of Rs.1500/- is to be paid vide bank draft payable in favour of the specific course to which admission is sought. Bank draft is payable in favour of:

About Jorhat Engineering College-
Jorhat Engineering College, the premier institution of North East India and the second Government Engineering College of Assam has completed its fifty years of relentless service to the society. The College came into existence on 7th January, 1959 at H.R.H.P.O.W. Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jorhat with the then Principal of the Institute, Sri H.N. Barua also as the Principal in-charge of Jorhat Engineering College. The College started functioning with admission of its first batch of students in Civil Engineering, on 10th October, 1960.
