JoSAA 2021 Round 1 Seat Acceptance & Document Uploading Last Date Extended: Check Details Here

• JoSAA 2021 Round 1 seat acceptance was supposed to be closed on October 30
• Now, the deadline to upload documents has been extended till October 31
• The Round 1 seat allotment result was announced on October 27

The Round 1 seat acceptance and document uploading process of JoSAA 2021 is underway, and the last date to complete the admission formalities has been extended till October 31. Earlier, the last date to complete the same was October 30. Candidates who are yet to Freeze/ Float/ Slide the seat allotment and pay the seat acceptance fee have one day left to complete the same. Candidates who received a message or E-Mail regarding issues with uploaded documents can resolve the same by October 31, 2021 (Sunday).

JoSAA 2021 counselling started on October 16, and the Round 1 seat allotment result was released on October 27. However, JoSAA did not release the Round 1 closing ranks this year , and many students who are taking part in Round 2 are facing difficulty in predicting the admission chances. Usually, JoSAA releases the round-wise closing ranks on the same day of seat allotment.

The Round 2 seat allotment result of JoSAA 2021 will be released on November 1 at 5:00 PM. Candidates who secure a seat as per first choice in Round 2 will only have the freeze option to choose and accept the allotment. The exact number of vacant seats available after the Round 1 seat allotment is not being disclosed by JoSAA since last year.

JoSAA is a centralized admission process that is conducted for admission in NITs, IITs, IIITs and GFTIs. A total number of 6 rounds are conducted followed by a special round, i.e., CSAB.
