The result of third round of seat allotment was declared by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2016 on Sunday, July 10. Results are available on the official website of JoSAA. Appearing candidates can check their results by entering their Roll Number and password assigned at the time of registering for JEE Main 2016.

Students can accept their allocated seats between the scheduled dates i.e. July 11 to 13, 2016 by reporting at the mentioned reporting centers for the third round of allotment. Students are supposed to submit their acceptance fees at the reporting center itself during the time of document verification. The acceptance fee will vary with the categories through which the candidates have applied.

Candidates have three options for the seats they have been allocated. They can either opt to ‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’ or ‘Float’ the choice of course they have been given in the counseling round.
JoSAA will conduct six rounds of seat allotment. Results for three rounds have already been declared while the reporting procedure is going on for the third round. The number of vacant seats after the 2 rounds of seat allocation and related details were announced by JoSAA on July 6. 136 seats needed to be filled across 7 NITs as per JoSAA.
