JoSAA Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2020 - JoSAA 2020 seat allocation for round 1 has been released on October 17, 2020. Applicants can log in by using their JEE Main application number and password to check the status. The seat allocation of JoSAA 2020 is being released in six rounds. Candidates who are selected have to upload the documents and confirm the admission. Allocation is on the basis of merit, category, preferences, and seat availability.

The procedure to be followed after the Round 1 seat allotment of JoSAA is as follows -
To check the opening and closing ranks, visit the official website of JoSAA 2020, click on the 'JoSAA 2020 opening and closing ranks' and 2 options will be displayed-'Opening and closing ranks' and 'allotment of seats in academic programs'. Click on the relevant link to check details and by clicking on the opening and closing ranks, a list of courses will be displayed along with the college and category wise rank brackets for admission to the B.Tech and B.Arch courses. Seat allotment will give college and course wise seat intake for all the JoSAA participating institutes. The JoSAA cutoff for various courses is released round-wise. List of Documents for JoSAA Counselling 2020
Given below is the list of documents for JoSAA Counselling 2020. The candidates need to verify their documents at the nearest reporting centres and the original documents along with photocopies have to be submitted at the time of counselling for verification. Following are the documents required for JOSAA Counselling 2020:
For IIT's, candidates need:
- Class XII performance
- Provisional seat allotment letter
- Undertaking by the candidate
- Original Admit card of JEE Advanced 2020
- Proof of date of birth (Class 10th mark sheet)
- Class XII (or equivalent) board marks sheet. If available then pass certificate and Medical certificate
- Category certificate in the case of OBC-NCL/SC/ST
- Proof of seat acceptance fee payment by online net banking through SBI debit cards issued only by SBI and E-Challan by SBI [For SC/ST/PwD, the amount is Rs. 15,000 and for other categories,, it is Rs.35,000
- PwD certificate, if applicable
- Candidate's and parents' passport (in the case of foreign nationals), OCI certificate or PIO card only if applicable
- DS certificate only if it's applicable
- Registration-cum-locked choices for seat allotment process
- 2 passport size photos identical to the one uploaded during JEE (Advanced/JEE Main) registration
- OBC-NBL certificate dated on or after April 1, 2020. The certificate should state that the candidate belongs to the non-creamy layer and the candidate's caste has to be there in the state-wide central OBC list
For NITs and other GFTIS , candidates need:
- JEE (Main) Admit Card 2020
- JEE (Main) Scorecard 2020
- Provisional seat allotment letter
- Date of birth proof (Class X mark sheet)
- Undertaking by the candidate
- Class 12th performance check
- 3 photographs that are passport size and are identical to the one uploaded during JEE (Main) 2019 registration
- Class 12th board mark sheet
- Photo ID card (issued by the government agency/last attended school/class 12th admit card)
- Indian nationals who have cleared the qualifying exam from Bhutan/Nepal or some institute abroad need to bring a passport
- Candidates with Senior Secondary Certificate from the National Open School need to have proof of the place of exam centre of the final exam for determining the state code
- Category certificate for OBC-NCL/SC/ST if it's applicable
- Medical certificate
