Here is some good news for students of Kalina Campus of Mumbai University! The JN Library of Kalina campus will now remain open 24×7. The move came after the students of the University protested demanding better facilities and infrastructure in the campus of the university. After the protest of the students, the university authorities have agreed to keep the library open round the clock.

The University authorities have also decided to shift the residents of Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil hostel into another hostel by the end of the month. Once the hostel is vacated, its renovation process will start. After that, the students will be shifted there again informed the Registrar of the University.
The University authorities have taken the decision after students had protested for three continuous days demanding repair of hostel infrastructure and a 24-hour library service. Now the University has taken the problems of the students seriously and is trying to fulfil all the demands of the students. The University has also assured the agitating students that the Managing Committee will consider their demands to reduce the re-evaluation fee.
