Candidates, who have paid the fees, are eligible to take part in the counselling registration process. Before that the candidates can refer to the seat matrix so that they will get an idea about the college-wise available seats and can enter their choices accordingly.
Candidates are advised to enter the maximum number of choices as per their preferences. Based on that the authority will release the mock round seat allotment result. Since it will be a trial round, therefore, the candidates will get a chance to edit or modify the entered choices, if they are not satisfied with the mock round seat allotment result.

The mode of participating in the Karnataka DCET 2023 option entry round is online only. Candidates can refer to the following steps to participate in the Karnataka DCET option entry round.
- Visit the official website of KEA or click on the above highlighted direct link
- Click on the DCET option entry link available on the homepage
- Candidates will be redirected to a new page, where they need to enter the login credentials such as the CET number
- Click on the relevant option entry link, so that the candidates can check the list of courses. Start to select the courses based on their preferences
- Select the list of colleges in a sequential order or priority number such as 1, 2, 3, 4, … etc.
- Click on the “View Selected Option” to check the entered options
- Submit the options
