KCET 2023 Document Verification: The document verification process is carried out by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to ensure the authenticity of the candidates and their claims regarding category, 2nd PUC marks, and so on. Due to this, a fair and transparent seat allocation is conducted. KCET 2023 document verification will be carried out offline at designated BEO centres. A separate verification schedule has been released by the authority and accordingly, KCET document verification will be held in three sessions per day, divided as per the rankings. KCET 2023 Document Verification: Important Instructions

Important instructions about document verification of KCET 2023 are as follows:

  • While uploading the documents, it is very important to enter the ‘RD Number’ appropriately for all documents. Any mismatch with the RD Number will lead to the failure of document verification. Such candidates will be given an opportunity to correct their RD Numbe r and appear for the verification again.
  • All documents to be carried to the BEO for verification must be original unless otherwise specified. The uploaded documents must also be original.
  • If a candidate fails to produce the requisite documents as per his/her claimed category/quota through the application form, then he/she will be treated under the ‘General Merit’ category for seat allocation.
  • It is also important that the font and details mentioned in the scanned documents are clearly legible. In cases otherwise, the candidates will be required to re-upload all such erroneous documents.
  • The schedule for document verification must be strictly adhered to. Outside the rank-wise schedule, no document verification process will be carried out.
  • The candidates whose documents are ‘Approved’ will be given a ‘Verification Slip’. This verification slip will be released online at kea.kar.nic.in and can be downloaded using the candidate’s User ID and Password.
  • Only the candidates with a Verification Slip ID will be eligible to participate in the further counselling processes i.e., submission of option form and seat allotment.

Do’s and don’ts about document verification of KCET 2023 are as follows:

Upload all original documents. Do not upload blurred or improperly cropped documents.
Enter RD Number accurately. Do not enter incomplete RD Numbers e.g., without alphabets.
Appear at the BEO office as per the rank-wise schedule. As verification sessions are one after the other, avoid being late for your verification.
Ensure to carry all original documents and a Xerox set of the same to the verification centre. Do not use self-attested documents in case the original document is unavailable. Contact KEA for further guidance.
Download Verification Slip and keep it saved to your device for further reference. Verification Slip will not be available unless all documents are verified.
