KCET Seat Allotment 2023: Karnataka Examination Authority released the KCET Seat Allotment 2023 for Round 1 on August 17, 2023. Candidates who have registered for the counselling process and have been allotted seats shall be prepared on what to do next. Detailed instructions on the seat acceptance process, and what to do if not allotted seats are available here for candidates' reference. Candidates are advised to check and be prepared accordingly to accept the seats and proceed with the admission process.

KCET Seat Allotment 2023: Detailed Instructions

Candidates shall note the detailed instruction available here to be followed after the KCET Seat Allotment 2023 is announced:
  • As soon as the seat allotment is released, candidates shall check through the official website- kea.kar.nic.in . Those who have been allotted seats will have four options to choose from to proceed with the admission. Those who have not been allotted seats shall wait for the next round of seat allotment.
  • To accept the seats, candidates are to choose any one of the options available on the screen. If failing to accept or choose any of the options within the given period, candidates will be considered out of the counselling process and will not be considered in the subsequent rounds.
  • To continue to participate in the counselling process, even if the candidate is not satisfied with the KCET Seat Allotment 2023, he/she will have to accept any one of the choices.
  • If any candidate is eligible for both UGNEET and UGCET and the candidate makes a choice by choosing either one of the seat allotment, they shall not make changes to their choices for UGNEET or UGCET. They will have to stick with the choice they have made and will have to continue in the same seat allotment process in the subsequent rounds

KCET Seat Allotment 2023: Choices/Options

KEA offers the following options/choices to the candidates to select from if they have allotted seat to any candidate to proceed:
Choices Details
Choice 1 Candidates confirm their seats and withdraw their chance of seat upgradation in the subsequent rounds. They will have to report to the allotted institute to complete the admission.
Choice 2 Those who accept the seat allotment with the condition that they accept the seat yet want to be considered for seat upgradation in the subsequent round. They will not be allowed to make changes to their choices They need not pay the admission fee.
Choice 3 If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seats, they surrender the current allotted seats and seek to upgrade their seats in the subsequent rounds with fresh option entry. Candidates shall not pay the admission fee.
Choice 4 Candidates who wish to quit the counselling process as they are not satisfied with the seat allotment shall opt for Choice 4 by confirming they are quitting the process.
