The High Court of Kerala has issued a notice to two medical colleges on September 21, 2016 . The notice was issued based on the petition filed by students namely Sethulakshmi and Ankita. They alleged that Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Ernakulam and Al Azhar Medical College, Thodapuzha are conducting admissions without considering inter-se-merit on NEET score. They mentioned that these colleges are giving admissions to the students who have lower scores in NEET.

The petitioners said that these medical colleges rejected the applications of most of the students as there were mistakes in the application form. The colleges did not give any opportunity to the students to rectify errors in the application forms. The students alleged that the two colleges intentionally rejected the applications forms of those students who have higher scores in NEET. At the same time, the colleges are trying to give admissions to those who have lower scores in NEET.

The colleges have to reply to HC within two days. The next hearing will be on September 23, 2016.
