Kerala School Holiday on 3 August 2024: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a Yellow alert in several districts of Kerala until August 5. Schools and Pre-Universities have been declared as closed in Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasragod districts on August 2 as well as keeping the safety of the students on priority. As there has been no indication from the IMD for the improvement of the weather, a Kerala School Holiday on 3 August 2024 is speculated. Confirmation regarding the holiday is awaited to be declared by the education ministry. Following the previous days, the holiday or not due to rain at schools in Kerala shall be declared by today evening. Until the holiday is announced, students and parents shall keenly wait for the announcements and stay safe.

These districts have been declared as "Orange Alert" by IMD and are most likely to be declared as holiday on 3 August Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kozhikode, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram.

- As per the latest information, Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayand, Kozhikode and Malappuram districts have been declared as "Yellow Alert" until August 5 with expected heavy rain and thunderstorms. These districts are most likely to have a school holiday on 3 August. Final confirmation is yet to be announced.
- Schools in Thrissur are most likely to be closed, however, exams scheduled for any schools are expected to be held, as the collector of the district has announced that all schools, anganwadis, pre-universities, and Navodaya to be closed, but if exams are scheduled, only the exams shall be held.
- Similarly, at Palakkad, government schools and anganwadis are to remain closed, but residential schools and colleges are permitted to operate.
