TKM College of Engineering, located in Kerala has received ‘A’ grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is a unique honour for the college, which is going to enter its diamond jubilee year. It is the only engineering college in Kerala under government, aided and semi-government sector to be accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC.
A team of experts from NAAC visited and assessed the college from October 26 to October 28, 2017. In the final report submitted by NAAC, the team of experts made a special mention of the excellent academic results of the institution, support for extracurricular and co-curricular activities and achievement of student chapters of professional bodies.

Recently, National Board of Accreditation (NBA) awarded six-year accreditation, the highest status to TKM College of Engineering as well. The premier engineering institute in Kerala also featured in the list of top 150 best engineering colleges across the country in NIRF Ranking.
The performance of TKM College of Engineering in NAAC assessment and NIRF Ranking will help the institute to receive more research grants from UGC and AICTE.

In 2013, TKM College of Engineering received a grant of Rs. 10 crores under TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) from the central government. And now, the institute has become eligible for the next phase of grants too.
First President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, laid the foundation stone for TKM College of Engineering in the year 1956. The engineering institute began its operations in 1958 with an intake of 120 students. Today, over 3,600 students registered for various graduate, postgraduate and research programmes offered by TKM College of Engineering.
