The first WEF (Women Economic Forum) of Kerala will be held at the Indian Institute of Management - IIM Kozhikode . WEF is an international platform for women networking and leadership enhancement. The event will be held on 22nd and 23rd August 2019 informed one statement issued by the institute.
The two-day event will be organized by All Ladies League known as ALL. This is a global movement of women. 400+ women entrepreneurs will come together in this event along with delegates and speakers from across the world. WEF will cover sessions focusing on networking, learning and business development.
The statement suggested that All Ladies League (ALL) enables women from more than 150 countries to unite on a common platform for adding value to their personal and professional lives. Under this forum, the members can explore business opportunities, find mentors, business and training forums, markets and aim at building and developing leadership skills within women.
The statement also informed that IIM Kozhikode is the first Indian management school to initiate positive action to introduce in gender parity in the flagship programmes.

Professor Debashis Chatterjee who is the Director of IIM Kozhikode said that WEF event is complimentary with the legacy of IIM Kozhikode of enabling enhanced participation of women in top leadership positions in the industry as well in the community.
Recently, IIM Kozhikode touched 54% women candidate participation in PGP batch from its historically low 10% recorded in 2015.

IIM Kozhikode also has the distinct recognition for creating the supernumerary women-exclusive batch in PGP from 2019.
