The popular KIIT Law School has received the prestigious ‘Best Innovative Law School’ Award 2018. It was on the occasion of Law Teacher's Day on 1st September 2018 that the school bagged this honour. The award was handed over to Professor N. K. Chakraborty who is the Director of the KIIT School of Law at a ceremony which was graced by the Vice President of India, Shri Venkaiah Naidu.
The function was organized by the Society of India Law Farms in collaboration with the Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy Training. Both the institutions come together every year to award the best law colleges and universities in the country. Interestingly KIIT School of Law is the only private institute in the country to have achieved this feat. While addressing the gathering, Naidu spoke extensively about his visit to the KIIT Deemed University and hoped for greater heights for the institute.

KIIT School of Law focuses highly on aspects such as skill development as a part of its curriculum. It also includes topics such as the internationalization of law with respect to domestic legislation. KIIT Law School is known for providing a balanced synergy of knowledge, values and skills in legal education.

KIIT School of Law students have brought many laurels to the university in the past. It has bagged prizes in the National Moot Court Competitions which are organized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) at a national level. While congratulating the school, Founder of KIIT, Professor Achyuta Samanta said the success will inspire students as well as faculty members of the law school.
