Kota University has revealed another new dispute; it disclosed the information sought under the Act of RTI. The case of the laptop is purchased by the university. University departments and officials to work has a desktop but the work and make it easier for the university decided to give laptops to teachers and staff. In the year 2012, the University has contracts for the purchase of 41 laptops. In April 2012, the University not purchased the entire laptop, but only the 11 laptop.

On the date of April 21, kota firm supplied 11 laptop of ‘HP Pro. Book Model 4430 S Series’ at Rs of 54,910. Of these, six teachers and five administrators of the laptop. After five months on September 2012 University administration again purchased 30 laptop of ‘HP Pro. Book Model 4430 S Series’, but this time the vendor has also changed along with the price of the laptop. The University administration purchased old series or model laptop at more expensive price of 8,000 from Jaipur based firm. Thus, university paid 2 lakh 50 thousand more for 30 Laptop. University purchased of laptop for Controller of Examinations at the rate of forty-eight thousand two hundred, but the university does not have information that when a laptop purchased for controller of examinations.On this matter Students’ Union president Lokesh Gunjal bordered to registrant and demanded a probe.
