Do’s for JEE Main January 2023 Last Week Preparation

Foremost, it is important to consider that the preparation level and the preparation methods of all students vary. What shall preferably be done in the last week before JEE Main 2023 session 1 is listed below:

1. Know important topics

It is better to focus on those topics which carry the highest weightage, and thus revise these topics first. For all subjects, the expected chapter-wise weightage can be found here: JEE Main January 2023 Predicted Question Paper

2. Revise

Revise all the important formulas, theorems, reactions, etc. from these important topics first, then proceed to revise these from the chapters which are easy for you, even if they have less weightage. Don’t skip the chapters you know well just because they have lesser weightage compared to others.

3. Previous Years’ Papers

Given that multiple shifts and sessions were held in the past two years, those papers are simply enough to take up as mock tests. Solve these papers to get an idea about the level of difficulty of the papers, to solve new questions, and to know your preparation level. Candidates can find here the question papers of the past two years, all sessions and shifts for direct PDF download: JEE Main 2022 and 2021 Question Papers (with step-by-step solutions for 2022)

4. Positive Outlook

For a fact, more than 50% of questions are easy, 30-35% are moderate and 10-15% are difficult. Hence, candidates can rest their worries in this last week and focus exclusively on their revision.

Don’ts for JEE Main January 2023 Last Week Preparation

Similarly as do’s, the don’ts in the last week preparation are also given here:

1. No new topics

It is very important to not confuse yourself with new topics in this last week. It is more likely to waste your time, add to your confusion, and be of no actual help during the exam. It holds true even if the chapter has more weightage.

2. No focus on what’s unprepared

While solving previous papers, don’t focus on why you can’t solve a question. Instead, if there is a question from your shortlisted topics, look at the solution and try to learn that. Wasting time on why you weren’t able to solve it won’t help. If the question is too difficult, leave it.

3. No schedule changes

If your schedule is changes drastically within this last week, it will catch up by the time of the exam. Bad health will affect your exam undoubtedly.
