NEET UG 2023 application process has started. This year, the application fee for NEET has been increased and the number of exam cities has been reduced by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

NEET UG 2023 registration for admission to undergraduate medical courses has begun. Candidates who wish to appear for the entrance exam must visit the official website and submit the application form before 6th April 2023. This year, the application fee for NEET has been increased and the number of exam cities has been reduced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The form has been made available on the portal- neet.nta.nic.in.

The exam is all set to be conducted on 7th May at 485 exam cities across the country. Candidates will have to register themselves, fill out the form along with uploading documents in a specified format. Students applying for admission to MBBS, BDS, and undergraduate medical courses will have to write a pen-and-paper-based entrance exam. 200 questions will be included in the NEET question paper, which will last three hours and twenty minutes. The exam will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM.

NEET UG 2023 Registration: Changes Made

There have been major exam changes in the NEET UG registration form along with exam cities. The details regarding them have been provided below-
Category Changes Made
Registration fee The registration fee for each category has been increased by Rs 100. The latest fee for the general category is Rs 1700, the general EWS/ OBC-NCL category is Rs 1600, SC/ ST candidate is Rs 1000, and for candidates outside India is Rs 9500.
Exam cities According to NTA, NEET UG exam 2023 will be conducted in 485 cities across the country and 14 cities abroad. The exam was held in 543 cities last year. There have been 58 reductions in the number of test cities in India, though the number of exam cities outside India remains the same.
