Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman Birthday- Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman or C.V. Raman was born on 7th November, 1888 in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. During the 1930s, C.V. Raman won the Nobel Prize for Physics for discovering the Raman effect, a phenomenon that occurs when light passes through a material and its wavelength is changed due to a change in the energy state of the molecules in the material.
