Punjab Secondary Education Board has announced the release of the Punjab Board Class 12 results 2020 on July 21, 2020. However, no merit list or toppers list will be announced this time as PSEB class 12 board pending exams were cancelled . They were postponed earlier due to COVID-19 but were cancelled later. Only three exams were held before the coronavirus outbreak and the result has been calculated on the basis of the best performing subjects formula. PSEB 12th pass percentage for 2020 is 90.98%.

Government schools have performed better than private schools yet again in PSEB class 12 results 2020. 94.32% of government school students and 91.84% of the affiliated schools students have passed the exam while 87.04% of associated school students have passed. The pass percentage of the rural areas is better at 93.39% as compared to urban areas which have 91.96%.

The number of students who appeared for PSEB class 12 board exams 2020 is around 2.9 lakh. 2,65,449 students appeared as regular candidates and 20,229 students appeared in the open category in class 12th exam
