The Loyola institute of Technology and Management, Vijaywada celebrated its annual day in a grand manner at the college auditorium on March 30, 2016. The celebrations commenced at 5.00 PM and continued till 9. 00 PM. The Chief Guest of the occasion was G.Sambasiva Rao, Municipal Commissioner, Satennapalli. He inaugurated the celebrations by lightening the lamp along with college correspondent, KVG Kumar. Later the correspondent delivered the Welcome Address. Students performed a welcome dance.
Addressing the students, G.Sambasiva Rao said that, “Students should utilize each and every opportunity which would develop their skills and talents. Students have to bring out their hidden talents. Students should possess self-confidence and competitive spirit. Competition would enable better results in academics and extracurricular activities”.
College correspondent presented the annual report. He mentioned that, “the college has an excellent infrastructure facilities and library. More than 140 students have got placed in campus placements that were conducted in the academic year 2015-2016. Around 160 students brought laurels to the college by participating in various competitions. The college strength has increased to 1,560 in the academic year 2015-2016”. He thanked the college faculty for their continuous efforts in developing skills of the students.
Later prize distribution took place where the meritorious students have been awarded cash prize. Prizes were distributed to the winners of intramural competitions conducted by the college.
College programs followed and the students enthralled the audience by their mesmerizing dance performances. The celebrations ended with a fashion show by MBA students.
