LPU Bags ‘World Education Summit Award 2018’ for Innovation in Open and Distance Learning

Lovely Professional University has credited one more achievement into its kitty. LPU has bagged ’13 World Summit Education Award 2018’ for its innovative distance learning courses. The varsity has been awarded under the category of ‘Innovation in Open and Distance Learning’. ‘Digital Learning’ magazine organised the awards ceremony at Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre – Mumbai’.

Telangana Board of Intermediate Education Secretary & Commissioner, Dr. A Ashok and Elets Technomedia CEO & Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Ravi Gupta presented the award to LPU. Deputy Director of LPU, Mr. Manish Kumar and LPU Additional Director, Ginni Nijhawan received the award on behalf of LPU.

Commenting on the latest achievement, LPU Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal expressed that open and distance learning along with online education is the future of the education sector. LPU has always been successful in encouraging students to adopt unique learning methods to enhance their learning experience.

Explaining about LPU E-Connect, Mr. Ginni Nijhawan mentioned that the initiative is a boon to students. E-Connect is helping students to learn as per their convenience. Learners who are busy with their personal commitments are able to learn through e-connect, and it is easily helping them to balance their time. LPU ODL students are allotted with a personalised User ID and Password through which they can access LPU E-Connect. The portal is easily accessible for students.

E-Connect of LPU is user-friendly. The portal links ODL students with university anytime. Various academic and administrative purposes of LPU distance education are being carried out through e-connect.

LPU has commenced the ODL admission process for January 2019 session. Students can visit the official website of LPU to register.
