Lucknow University (LU) has withheld results of around 400 students of Bachelor in Education (BEd) of seven colleges which failed to furnish the internal marks awarded to the students.

Controller of examination AK Sharma told the reporter that step has been taken to avoid delay in B.Ed results, University has decided to declare results of the other 45 colleges which teach B.Ed .The examination was held in December for the two-year BEd course. While 70 marks are for external exams, 30 are for internal. A reminder for submitting internal marks was also sent, he said. Meanwhile, LU has announced the BEd counseling schedule for admission to 2016-18 session, but the details about the availability of seats in BEd colleges is missing from the website, leading to confusion among candidates.

The counseling will be held in 14 cities from June 6 to June 24. “We have still not received the list of seats from four universities; Gorakhpur, Jaunpur , Meerut and Agra, hence the website could not be updated,“ said an LU official.

“We will try to update students at the time of counseling about their options in accordance with their rank,“ he added.
