The PG application process of Lucknow University (LU) will commence in April 2019. Candidates willing to take admission in PG courses offered at the prestigious Lucknow University can now apply online. There are a total of 70 postgraduate courses that are available for a candidate to choose from with a total of 4,000 seats. In order to apply, a candidate shall have completed his/her undergraduate degree course from a recognized university.
The Lucknow University PG Application Forms are expected to be available in April 2019. The last date to submit the application form May 2019.

Lucknow University PG Entrance Exam Pattern 2019
- Candidates will have to clear the entrance test in order to get admission in Lucknow University PG courses.
- The entrance exams will be based on the undergraduate syllabus of Lucknow University and will consist of three sections of a total of 75 marks.
- Candidates will have to answer five compulsory questions in 50 words in the first section.
- Next, they will have to attempt two or three questions in the second section in 150 words each.
- In the last section, students are required to answer one of the two questions in at least 300 words.
- A common question paper will be set for courses such as statistics, biostatistics, anthropology and forensic science and similarly for botany, microbiology and plant science, electronics and renewable energy, chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry; and physics.

The committee has decided to increase the number of PG courses to 29. As approved by the committee, the ordinance of 80% reservation for its graduates will be removed from the coming academic session.

Around 20-50% seats were increased in 11 other subjects. |
M.Com | 20 seats each were added in M.Com and Applied Economics courses. Both the courses have a total of 360 seats. |

Students can also opt for proficiency, diploma, PG diploma and Post MA diploma courses as add-on programmes offered by LU. The students who pursue PG courses can later find directly be eligible for exams that screen candidates for positions such as government employees, corporates-sponsored applicants, and defense personnel.
