The admission process for post-graduation courses of Lucknow University is expected to start early this year. Lucknow University offers admission to more than 4,000 seats in 70 postgraduate courses. The admission forms will be available from 2nd April 2018. The PG admissions will be on the basis of entrance exam which is to be held in June.

As per Anil Mishra, Admission Coordinator at Lucknow University, both UG and PG admission process will start early from this academic year so that the session can start as per the scheduled time. During the previous academic session, it was delayed because of the prolonged admission process. He also mentioned that admissions to PG diploma courses have been made online from this academic year to make the process easier.
The LU entrance test for postgraduate admission will be based on the undergraduate syllabus for LU . The entrance tests will be of 75 marks and will be divided into three sections. In the first section, candidates will have to attempt five compulsory questions with 50 words as word limit for each question. This will be followed by the second section with three questions and the last section will consist of two questions in 300 words.

Also, there will be a common question paper for courses such as plant science, chemistry, botany, physics among others. Similarly, biostatistics, anthropology, statistics and forensic science will also have a common question paper.
